Dr Theodosios Kontos

Dr Theodosios Kontos has been a leading Ophthalmologist in Cyprus for the past 30 years. In the past he has held the position of the president of the Cyprus Ophthalmological society for four years. He is a member of ESCRS, EVRS, HSIOIRS.

He pioneered the Phacoemulsification cataract technique in Cyprus in 1992.

He is one of the few surgeons able to manage the posterior as well as anterior segment pathology simultaneously. He is competent in performing  an extensive range of ocular surgeries including cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, corneal transplantation, strabismus surgery, refractive laser surgery (LASIK,PRK), vitrectomy including retina detachment repair and complex trauma.
